From her father who was a minister;

Dr. Williams learned the importance of caring for people.

From scrutinizing her mother's last pregnancy, she decided that she would be a more considerate physician focusing on quality care.

But to look at this warm, feminine, professional doctor, you would never suspect that she has a suprising side. Dressed up in leathers and motorcycle gear, Dr. Rebecca exposes another aspect of her self as she travels the open road. In truth, motorcycling like the practice of gynecology, brings out her passion for life.

Dr. Williams has been a practicing Gynecologist for more than 25 years.

She graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 1975.

She was born in Florida and decided at the early age of 6 that she wanted to be a physician. She never wavered from this dream, and even decided on the field of obstetrics and gynecology in the ninth grade. Rebecca graduated from Jones High School as valedictorian of the class of 1967. She then went to Howard University on a four--year academic scholarship and graduated in 1971 with a B.S. degree. Continuing with her dream, she entered Boston Universtiy School of Medicine, and graduated with an M.D. degree in 1975.

Dr. Williams completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Henry Ford Hospital in 1979. From 1979 until 1981, she served in the United States Navy in Okinawa, Japan as staff obstetrician and gynecologist. Leaving the military with a rank of LCDR, she returned to Detroit and the practice of Ob/Gyn. She was recognized in the 1990's by ESSENCE magazine as one of the top Ob/Gyn doctors in the nation, and locally has been named in the HOUR DETROIT magazine as one of the top doctors in her field.
